STREET NATION DANCE STUDIO: Battle Of The Year 2009 ASIA Live in Singapore

Battle of The Year 2009 Asia Live in Singapore. They took an early flight at 6.25am to fly to Singapore from LCCT to Changi Airport. Upon arrival, they took SMRT to look for the hostel. They were supposed to get down at Tanah Merah but didn't and the train moved back to Changi Airport. *SWEAT*

After they checked in the hostel, they went to City Hall Peninsula Mall to look for Dickies. Then moved to Pasir Ris for the BOTY event. Event was supposed to start at 3pm, but audience was released into the hall at 3.30pm.

Event started around 4.30pm. Kickstarted with judges showcase from BBoy Poe One, BBoy Crazy and BBoy Born. Showcase started with Thailand 99 Flava. Followed by China, Laos Laobangfive, Malaysia Giller Battle Crew, Vietnam Big Toe, Singapore Radikal Forze, Taiwan Formosa, Korea Gamblerz and Japan All Area Crew.

There were performances such as freestyle footballers, Red Roses, Yoyo, new skool, belly dancing, etc. Special performance by GoGo Brothers from Japan!!!

Before the MC announced the top 4, there was a Shine Award ceremony giving out awards to the event organizers and the people behind the event.

MC announced that Gamblerz would be battling Formosa, while All Area would be battling Big Toe. Gamblerz crashed several of times but due to biting from Formosa crew, Gamblerz moved to Top 2 battling with All Area crew while Formosa would be battling Big Toe crew.

Gamblerz condition was not stable and was announced as the second placing of BOTY Asia 2009 while Formosa would be going to BOTY Germany as they were the third placing winning over Big Toe crew.

All Area crew also won the best showcase. BBoy solo battle was won by BBoy King So from Gamblerz.

2/8/2009, workshop day. First workshop was d0ne by BBoy Poe One. He had shared most of his bboy knowledge for more than 15 years. He had mainly taught toprock and educated the participants with its name as most breakers only do toprock but do not know the names. Second workshop was done by BBoy Born. But due to his limitation of english, he had requested for a translator to translate his knowledge. He had taught participants to cypher. Last workshop was done by BBoy Crazy. He had mainly taught skills like back spin, windmill, etc.

Workshop ended around 7pm. They chilled until 8.30pm and left the hall to Changi Airport as their flight was 10.25pm.
